SANTA FE, N.M., Aug. 10, 2026—Around 5pm today, residents on Camino de Cañon in Cundiyo were placed in GO status due to increased activity on the Frijoles Fire. GO status means leave now with your emergency supply kit. Residents should evacuate immediately. For those who need it, an evacuation shelter will be established at the Pojoaque Valley Middle School gym at 1797 State Road 502. The gym can be accessed from Grazing Elk Drive, off of Camino Cerrado.
At 6:15pm, the remainder of the Cundiyó community and the community of Cerro Piñon were moved to the SET status.
SET status means you should be ready to evacuate if needed. Gather essential items, medications, important documents, pets, and necessary supplies. Assemble your emergency supply kits and prepare your house and vehicle to leave.
Animals: Companion animals (such as dogs) are welcome at the shelter with their owners. Livestock can be accommodated at various locations, please call RECC non-emergency at 505-428-3710 to coordinate.
