Aruma Labs teams up with Applied Cannabis Research for endometriosis observational study

Applied Cannabis Research, providing research expertise and services to medicinal cannabis companies

Australia’s leading contract research organization focused on medicinal cannabis treatments

200 women to take part to monitor the safety & efficacy of medical cannabis as a management option for refractory chronic pain, a common endometriosis symptom.

SYDNEY, NSW, AUSTRALIA, January 31, 2021 / — Applied Cannabis Research is pleased to announce Aruma Labs (Aruma) has joined Australia’s longest running observational study of medicinal cannabis products, the CA Clinics Observational Study (CACOS*), with a focus on collecting data from patients with endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a notoriously painful condition affecting more than 11% of Australian women, according to Endometriosis Australia. It is characterised by the presence of endometrial tissue, normally found inside the uterus, in other areas of the abdomen. The reduction in quality of life for women with endometriosis has been estimated at A$4 billion per annum (Ernst & Young (2019): The Cost of Endometriosis in Australia Report).

200 women will participate in the study to monitor the safety and efficacy of medicinal cannabis as an adjunct treatment and management option for refractory chronic pain, a common symptom of endometriosis.

-200 Australian women will be recruited to participate in Applied Cannabis Research’s endometriosis observational study through CA Clinics
-Endometriosis is estimated to affect more than 11% of Australian women and the reduced quality of life is estimated to result in a societal cost of $4 billion a year
-Aruma will include their medicinal cannabis products in the study, and Applied Cannabis Research will collect data about its safety and efficacy, as well as tracking pain and quality of life (QOL) outcomes in patients prescribed an Aruma product
-The Endometriosis Study is a sub-study of CACOS, an observational study on the health outcomes of 3,000 patients nationwide at CA Clinics that are prescribed medicinal cannabis products for treatment of refractory conditions

Louis Williams, CEO of Aruma commented:
“Research shows that women with endometriosis often may wait up to eight years before they receive a diagnosis. During that time, they can suffer debilitating pain, depression, and a diminished quality of life. Our aim, through this partnership with Applied Cannabis Research, is to collect patient-reported data to understand whether our unique formulations have potential as a safe and effective treatment option in the ongoing management of the pain that often accompanies endometriosis. Aruma is committed to helping find solutions for patients that make a real and tangible difference to their lives.”

Dr John Barlow, Principal Investigator at Applied Cannabis Research commented: “Endometriosis is a chronic and debilitating condition affecting approximately 11% of women. It is characterized by infertility and chronic pelvic pain, yet treatment options remain limited. Medicinal cannabis is increasingly being used for the treatment of refractory pain but its efficacy as a therapeutic for endometrial pain is unknown. This observational study will first demonstrate the efficacy of cannabis to treat endometrial pain as well as indicating which cannabinoid formulations are the most potent.”

Dr Mark Hardy, Addiction Specialist and Medical Director at CA Clinics said:
“Chronic pain associated with endometriosis is a complex and debilitating problem for millions of women worldwide. The positive impacts of medical cannabis on pain are potent enough to consider medical cannabis as a pain management option, adjunct to current treatments. Cannabinoids are being researched for their impact on the processes of angiogenesis, a key aspect of the pathology of endometriosis, as well as their anti-inflammatory properties. The evidence-based research of CACOS is essential for better treatment and health outcomes.”

Dr Davina Hiley, CA Clinics, added:
"Many women suffer from distressing endometriosis symptoms. Common treatments such as hormonal therapy, analgesia, anti-inflammatories or even surgical intervention are often ongoing, and have their own set of risks and side effects. There's therefore a need to consider other therapeutic management options such as medicinal cannabis.”

Healthcare professionals and eligible patients over the age of 18 seeking more details regarding the Endometriosis Study or medicinal cannabis treatment pathways can contact CA Clinics at 1300 991 477

Pradeep Balasubramanian on the Intricacies of Shoulder Surgery

Pradeep Balasubramanian of Dubai

Pradeep Balasubramanian of Dubai

Pradeep Balasubramanian is a Dubai based surgeon who specializes in Shoulder, Elbow, and Hand surgery

DUBAI, EMIRATE OF DUBAI, UAE, January 29, 2021 / — He was an AOA Fellow Shoulder Elbow and Hand Surgery at Lyell McEwin Health Services Foundation Inc. With a cumulative 15 years of orthopedic experience, he has developed a wealth of knowledge about musculoskeletal health, particularly in the complex structures of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.

The shoulder is an area where practically many people can expect to have some kind of problem at some point in their life. With proper nutrition and exercise, most people can prevent these problems effectively. But of course, when injury or illness enters into the equation, surgeons like Pradeep Balasubramanian are here to help. We asked Pradeep Balasubramanian to discuss his thoughts on shoulder health and the intricacies of shoulder surgery.

Pradeep Balasubramanian of Dubai on Shoulder Surgery
Pradeep Balasubramanian explains that the structures of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand are extremely complex with hundreds of tightly strung muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, arteries, and veins. With such complexity comes a strong likelihood of mechanical issues, which can predispose to injury. When an injury occurs, surgery may be needed if conservative treatment fails. Pradeep Balasubramanian discussed five different signs that may indicate a need for shoulder surgery.

Radiating Pain from the Shoulder Down the Arm to the Elbow
Mild pain in the shoulder is common and usually passing. If, however, that pain radiates down the arm to the elbow, other more structural problems are likely causal factors.

Night Pain
If sleep is being lost due to a shoulder injury, this is a red flag that something more sinister exists inside. Persons who have night pain and whose sleep is disturbed due to the night pain should seek medical intervention as a general rule.

Weakness in the Shoulder or Arm
If a nerve is being impinged upon, or if muscles, ligaments, or cartilage have been damaged, weakness in the arm may result. Structural damage like this may need to be repaired through surgery.

Pain Without Activity
Pain in the absence of significant work or activity indicates a longstanding problem. This may indicate issues that may need to be addressed through surgical intervention in many cases.

Impaired Function
Any loss of range of motion or other functionality of the shoulder and arm should be examined by a shoulder specialist as early as possible. If necessary, your general practitioner may recommend an examination by a shoulder specialist like Pradeep Balasubramanian.

Pradeep Balasubramanian of Dubai Shoulder Health Tips
Pradeep Balasubramanian explains that there is much that a person can do to prevent pain, stiffness, and damage to the shoulder and surrounding structures. First and foremost, he recommends proper nutrition and mild to moderate exercise. Supplementary to these is a regular, daily stretching routine. Pradeep Balasubramanian says, everyone should perform mild stretches on waking and before and after exercise.

Finally, Pradeep Balasubramanian of Dubai recommends loading the shoulders with exercises such as pull ups or push ups. These vectors of exertion, he explains, are commonly missing from most people’s lives, but that it is an important way to maintain the strength and flexibility the shoulders needed to be healthy.

Chicago Businesswoman And Her Band Of Merrymakers Are Bringing Hope To Communities Nationwide

The Crown and Compass Life Coaching Team is leading the call to action to make change in communities nationwide.

Julie Lokun and her band of merrymakers are reaching communities nationwide to provide hope and the tools to build resilience.

Julie Lokun, A Chicago-based businesswoman is leading a call to action to make real change in pandemic-weary communities nationwide.

My personal mission is to encourage small businesses to think outside the box and use their voices to bring calm to this uncomfortable normality we find ourselves in -in 2021”

— Julie Lokun

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES, January 29, 2021 / — Julie Lokun, Masters Certified Life Coach, and her band of merrymakers are locking arms to make a difference during on the eve of Year Two of the pandemic. Lokun has elicited a call to action for entrepreneurs from around the country to offer their brand of inspiration to those who are desperately in need of assistance. Lokun's not-so-subtle message has enlisted a new kind of activist. "I call upon entrepreneurs to utilize their unique talents and stop standing on the sidelines. It is ok to get your hands dirty-just help!", Lokun continues, "Whether it is one person or many, stop waiting to make a difference!" The powerful result of this movement in her message is expressed daily, nationwide, in different formats.

Her "merrymakers" include podcasters, mental health professionals, artisans, just to name a few. These merrymakers, who hale from all parts of the country share one common thread, which is the passion to be of service. "I have purposefully facilitated a movement of entrepreneurs to reclaim or even reinvent the resilient spirit this country was built on". Lokun explains. Lokun lives on the outskirts of Chicago and has seen in her community a downshift in resilience. Lokun, an entrepreneur as well, is the owner of Crown & Compass Life Coaching and is privy to the defeated spirit in her community.

"I work with entrepreueneurs daily and they are always asking me-what can I do? After you heard the question over and over, I knew I had to lead the charge and create a like-minded movement to help those who are in the greatest need. I encouraged all these entreprenuers to use their greatest talents and offer up their services and talents at no cost".

Throughout human history, crises have been pivotal in developing our societies. Pandemics have helped advance health-care systems, wars have fuelled technological innovations and the global financial crisis helped advance tech companies such as Uber. The present coronavirus pandemic will arguably not be an exception; entrepreneurs can be expected to rise to the challenge. "This call to action with small businesses is a non-negotialble-I believe it is our responsibility to extend ourselves past our comfort zones and give all we can in the world's transition".

Businesses play a key role both in helping society get through an economic crisis and in creating innovations that shape society after a crisis. So one key question is: how will the ongoing crisis influence future society? "My personal mission is to encourage small businesses to think outside the box and use their voices to bring calm to this uncomfortable normality we find ourselves in -in 2021".

Her notable tribe of changemakers includes the acclaimed Florida Bakery Victor & Mika's. This is the only female, black-owned vegan bakery in Florida, who recognizes change is essential in these times. "Change is the only constant and we need to adapt and innovate," states Victor Munoz. Victor Munoz & Mika Altidor, out of Winter Haven, Florida are tirelessly championing the importance of health during the pandemic. "People are not only getting sick but they are staying sick-things have to change and we will do anything it takes to spread the word", states Munoz a tireless advocate for allocating healthy resouces to all demographics. The baking duo, Munoz and Altidor, have been donating healthy foods to front-line workes and to the homeless.

The reach of the merrymakers extends to Atlanta, Georgia where businessmen Larry McDonald Jr and John Stulak have bypassed their day jobs to create a space of wisdom, with their internationally acclaimed podcast, The WizeGuys. McDonald and Stulak are garnering a grassroots following that is bringing hope to pandemic-weary listener who are yearning for a new perspective.

In addition, Lokun has enlisted experts such as mental health professional Tristin Hodges and holistic nutritionist, Tia Morell to be apart of this merrymaking coalition. "This is what dreams are made of…", states Morell of Circle Pines, Minnesota. "This time of year brings in quite a bit of seasonal depression and it is so important that people understand that their food choices directly impact their mental health". Morell continues, "I want to do my part in giving people the tools they need to start living a more fulfilling life".

Even During Pandemic, New Year's Resolutions To Improve Health & Manage Weight Still Resonate–Though Not As Powerfully

Sales data shows people in a pandemic may not be as committed to New Year's resolutions.

Sales data shows people in a pandemic may not be as committed to New Year’s resolutions.

Catalina Data Also Reveals 40% Decline in Alcoholic Beverage Sales During "Dry January"

The data in our Buyer Intelligence Database provides a compelling look into how COVID-19 continues to impact shopper behaviors and purchase decisions.”

— Marta Cyhan, Catalina CMO

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA, USA, January 29, 2021 / — As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect shopping behavior nationwide, consumers still saw the beginning of the New Year as a chance to recommit to a new round of weight-loss and health-related resolutions, albeit without the same level of commitment demonstrated going into 2020, per buyer intelligence leader Catalina, which compared retail sales on a dollar basis for the first three weeks of 2021 to sales during the last half of December 2020, as well as to the same period a year ago.

During the first three weeks of Jan. 2021, sales of alcoholic beverages declined by 40% at grocery and drug stores across the U.S. compared to the last two weeks of Dec. 2020. While this likely underscores the continued popularity of “Dry January,” during which an estimated one third of American adults now pledge to give up drinking beer, wine and cocktails for the entire month, a year ago sales of alcoholic beverages had declined by 46% during the first three weeks of Jan. 2020 — showing how COVID-19 continues to impact shopper behaviors and purchase decisions.

Those categories with the largest sales increases likely due to New Year’s weight loss resolutions and/or a desire to stay healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, included:

– Rice/Popcorn Cakes: +66% in 2021 vs. +74% in 2020
– Diet Measured Meals/Snack Bars: +62% in 2021 vs. +76% in 2020
– Frozen Dinner Entrees/Nutritional: +58% in 2021 vs. +76% in 2020
– Pediatric Nutritional Bars: +57% in 2021 vs. +73% in 2020
– Adult Nutrition Bars: +38% in 2021 vs. +46% in 2020
– Appetite Suppressants: +36% in 2021 vs. +34% in 2020

During the first three weeks of 2021, sales of oil & omega dietary supplements increased by 25% (compared to +26% in 2020), adult nutrition drinks increased by 26% (compared to +31% in 2020), and multivitamins grew by 20% (compared to +26% in 2020).

While Dry January has led to an overall 40% decline in total alcohol beverage sales through Jan. 23, 2021, some categories were impacted more than others. Notably, the decline in Jan. 2021 is not as sharp as Jan. 2020, which saw a drop of 46%:

– Spirits: -47% in 2021 vs. -53% in 2020
– Premixed Cocktails/Coolers: -45% in 2021 vs -57% in 2020
– Imported Beer/Ale: -37% in 2021 vs. -46% in 2020
– Alcoholic Ciders: -36% in 2021 vs. -45% in 2020
– Imported Table/Still Wine: -34% in 2021 vs. -39% in 2020
– Domestic Table/Still Wine: -32% in 2021 vs. -38% in 2020
– Domestic Beer/Ale: -29% in2021 vs. -35% in 2020

“The unprecedented repository of data in our Buyer Intelligence Database, which captures up to three years of purchase history and more than two billion Universal Product Codes that are scanned daily in the U.S., is like candy to our data scientists and advanced analytics teams. It allows them to segment appropriate shoppers and identify insights into their rapidly shifting behaviors so that our retail and brand customers can target and deliver the most relevant message to them when they’re looking for it – in real time,” said Catalina CMO Marta Cyhan.

MAFS Nicci Bridson near death experience attracts Hollywood Stars

Anna Kulinova with Nicci Bridson

From Hollywood to Australia

Hollywood Actor Anna Kulinova seeks solace with Australian survivor

SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA, January 29, 2021 / — “I had gone from military style boot camps on the circuit at 5.30am, running tens of kilometers a week, swimming, pumping weights to dropping a kettle because it felt so heavy. My immune system was shutting down on me. I had swelling of the face and ankles, I lost weight and muscle rapidly and weighed under 48 kilos “, explained Nicci Bridson, 35 of Adelaide Australia, who gave up her television debut in 2018 with the ‘Top Rated’ Australian Reality TV Show, ‘Married At First Sight’-MAFS Season 6. “I couldn’t commit to the hours of filming. I mean what would I say to the producer… hey sorry I need to sleep another 15 hours, you can't film me today”. Bridson became sicker every day, she may have looked ok with a face of full makeup and some tousled locks but every day was a struggle according to Bridson.

“I had a chronic cough pre explant, dry skin, hair loss, Chronic Fatigue was the worst issue combined with dehydration but most of all the numbness of my hands and fingers had doctors believing I had Multiple Sclerosis or MS for short. I had a brain scan every 6 months where a number of white lesions appeared. The Neurologist said simply put, my brain was shorting out the connection to my body, I felt numb”, explained Bridson.
In late 2019 Bridson was diagnosed with Breast Implant Illness. “I had seen a number of surgeons who quite frankly didn't know much about it. I told the first surgeon after seeing the article in the paper that I feel like I'm dying. He took one look at me with a face of makeup and said well you seem ok. It is a very rare chance that it is breast cancer. I had to cut out the newspaper article and take it in with me”, said Bridson.
In July 24, 2019 Allergan announced a global recall of Biocell textured implants after the FDA requested a recall. The recall comes after a rare type of cancer called anaplastic large cell lymphoma. (ALCL) has been linked to textured implants. Bridson had another seizure on New Year's day of 2020 while she was driving home. She was taken by ambulance to Adelaide hospital again unable to move her arms. She became so weak she couldn't work.
Doctors shortly afterwards agreed with Bridson to performing a double explant and to remove all tissue near the implants as recommended by the FDA. Within days her energy was returning, her breathing was no longer labored and she started to regain her motor control.
Still left with many brain lesions and fainting episodes Bridson began to see things happening to people she spoke to them. She saw pictures flashing in her head that started to manifest into premonitions. She believes it was a gift caused by her near death experience and her new spiritual awakening. She started talking to people and immediately started seeing snapshots about them, their past and their future. Talking to them they understood the meanings of what she was talking about and Bridson is now the confidante to many ‘A list’ Celebrities who have reached out to her via Zoom and other video links during these difficult times.
Bridson stated that she even predicted the recent Adelaide Hills bushfires months ago even describing on social media the description of the elderly man with ties to the property that would be deliberately lit. This week a man who allegedly lit a fire in the Adelaide Hills while a separate blaze raged uncontrolled about 10 kilometres away has appeared briefly in court. It will be alleged that the 61-year-old started a blaze on Piggott Range Road, at Clarendon in the Adelaide Hills.
Recently Hollywood Actor and Celebrity Model Anna Kulinova reached out to Bridson for a more personal understanding of her life and understanding of herself only to find Bridson had a very in-depth knowledge of her sick father which no one else knew about as well and so much of her personal life. The Bulgarian born blue eyed beauty Anna Kulinova is known for acting in ‘After The Outbreak’ (2017) ‘Valentine's Day’ (2010), ‘New Year's Eve’ (2011) and ‘Searching for Bobby D’ (2005). Millions have seen her on giant billboards in New York as the ‘Vogue Poster Girl’ and on the side of New York City buses. Kulinova is often snapped by paparazzi at events such as the Oscars with the likes of Paris Hilton, Bradley Cooper, Mel Gibson or Leonardo DiCaprio. We will see Kulinova soon in ‘Fuhgedd About It’ , building a criminal empire in pre-production where she plays Ashley and again as Natasha in the soon to be released ‘Family Feud’ a dark comedy.
When asked to tell us about her experience with Bridson she said , “I would love to talk about my reading with Nicci Bridson. I may say I have been trying all kinds of mediums and clairvoyants but she blew me away with her reading. She is one of the best out there. She was so accurate. She told me things from my personal life who nobody knew. Things about my Dads sickness and Garry Marshall who was my mentor… She is somebody I will highly recommend to all my friends”.
Kulinova went on to say, “I may she looks amazing, she should be a ‘Movie Star’ as well. I’m so grateful to meet such an amazing soul, she is beautiful inside and out and a very spiritual, pure soul ready to help you with your life”.

The $30 billion dollar-asbestos trust funds were set up for people like this. The typical Navy Veteran we assist is over 65 years old, and his asbestos exposure occurred in the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s. If the person we have described sounds like your husband or family member please call the lawyers at Karst von Oiste anytime at 800-714-0303. This is worth your time."
